Job Description
YRCI is seeking a full\-time Human Resources (HR) Assistant to support our Human Resources Remote Operations Center (HRROC™), located in Reston, VA. YRCI's HRROC™ is a Shared Service Center that supports multiple Federal agencies and offers a friendly, collaborative team environment with access to training from industry experts! Although the YRCI home office is located in Reston, VA, this position is fully remote.
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and transactional HR support to an assigned area staffing team. Working under the direct supervision of the area’s Senior Staffing Specialist, the HRA handles day\-to\-day HR functions that support the full recruitment process, ensuring hiring managers receive timely, accurate, and professional service at every stage of their recruitment action.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative HR support to the area Senior Staffing Specialist and area team throughout the recruitment process.
- Assist with the preparation and posting of job opportunity announcements on USAJobs and agency\-specific staffing systems.
- Review applications and assist with qualification determinations and veterans’ preference adjudication under the guidance of the assigned Staffing Specialist.
- Respond to applicant inquiries regarding USAJobs announcements and application status.
- Maintain accurate recruitment case files and personnel action documentation in accordance with agency records retention requirements.
- Coordinate hiring manager communications at the transactional level, including scheduling, status updates, and action follow\-up.
- Support intake processing and data entry into the team’s weekly tracking system.
- Utilize agency HR information systems, databases, and retrieval tools to support reporting requirements.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); and possess experience using automated systems to maintain data quality and data integrity.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail; experience managing multiple tasks in a deadline\-driven environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and maintain professionalism when handling sensitive HR information.
- Demonstrated adaptability and eagerness to learn new processes, systems, and regulations.
- Ability to apply and interpret Federal HR laws, policies, and agency specific operating procedures.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- College degree is preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the government required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain OPM DE Certificate
