* Missing Pieces Support Group is a nonprofit organization founded by women who have personally experienced the heartbreak of pregnancy loss—from first\-term miscarriages to stillbirths. Our mission is to uplift underserved communities through advocacy, education, and resource connection. We understand the emotional and physical toll of such loss and are committed to helping others navigate their grief.
Our mission is to bring awareness to pregnancy loss and offer support to grieving families by:
- Providing informational resources
- Forming a mindful community that bridges the gap between similar support services
- Providing a platform that gives families the opportunity to share their stories online.
- The\_ Social Media–\_ would be asavvy individual to help us build and maintain a meaningful online presence. This volunteer role focuses exclusively on managing and growing our social media platforms to connect with grieving families, raise awareness, and promote our mission.
- Proven experience managing organizational or brand social media accounts
- Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and TikTok
- Proficiency with Canva or similar graphic design tools
- Excellent writing and content creation skills
- Understanding of social media analytics and engagement strategies
- Empathy and sensitivity to trauma\-related topics
- Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
- Experience in marketing, brand management, digital strategy, or communications (preferably in nonprofit, advocacy, or healthcare spaces) is a plus
- Experience/knowledge in managing non\-profit or 501(c)(3\) organizations
- Understanding of audience segmentation, digital funnel development, and lead generation strategies
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills
- Strong organizational, project management, and collaboration skills
- Passion for our mission and empathy for sensitive, trauma\-related topics
- Create, schedule, and publish original content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Twitter/X
- Develop monthly social media content calendars aligned with organizational activities and campaigns
- Design graphics and visuals using tools like Canva to support posts and stories
- Monitor social media inboxes and respond to messages, comments, and questions with compassion and professionalism
- Track social media engagement and follower growth using tools like Meta Insights or Hootsuite Analytics
- Stay current on social trends, hashtags, and best practices for nonprofit engagement
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote events, initiatives, and updates
- Highlight community stories and encourage families to share their journeys
- Support awareness campaigns during key observances (e.g., Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month)
- An assessment will be provided before your final round interview
- There is a 2\-3 week probation period to asset demonstration of work duties
- Volunteer role with flexible hours (estimated 4–6 hours per week)
- Remote option available, preference would be in Houston/Dallas
