Overview:
\\This is 100% remote position. CHLA requires a primary residence in California prior to start date.\*\* Schedule: Monday\-Friday, Day Shift Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Financial Analyst II will provide the department with financial support by participating in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. This includes performing more advanced accounting tasks such as maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with CHLA policies and accounting standards. May include responsibility for the review, coordination, and reconciliation of grant reimbursements to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with hospital policy and applicable regulatory requirements. Supports audit readiness by preparing schedules, substantiating account balances, and providing necessary documentation for internal and external auditors. The Analyst will assist in the preparation of interim and final financial reports, variance analyses, and departmental budgets. Contributes to financial forecasting, cash\-flow support, and analytical reviews of departmental or program financial activity. The Analyst performs the responsibilities of the position with moderate supervision, applying strong analytical skills, sound accounting judgment, and an understanding of established financial procedures. Ensures adherence to compliance requirements, strengthens internal controls, and promotes sound business practices in support of departmental and organizational goals. Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 3\+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting or related field. Preferred Qualifications:
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel/Word knowledge.
- Financial Analyst, Post Award, or Research Administration experience.
- Hospital or Institute of Higher Learning experience.
- Accounts Receivable experience.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
