About Us

We’re a small, hands\-on team and a sister company to a large Denver\-based produce distributor. We have consistent freight and strong relationships, giving you a solid base to build and grow your own book of business.

Role

We’re hiring an experienced broker who can step in and produce immediately.

You’ll start with 2\-3 company\-provided accounts to build a base, but this role is built for someone who can develop their own business and manage it end\-to\-end.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Run and grow assigned accounts
  • Build your own customer base
  • Handle perishable, LTL, and multi\-stop freight
  • Source carriers using internal network and DAT load board
  • Track and manage loads through delivery (TruckerTools)
  • Price freight, protect margin, and make decisions in real time
  • Solve problems as they happen
  • Compensation

  • 15% on company accounts
  • 35% on accounts you bring in
  • Paid bi\-weekly on collected revenue
  • Loss Policy:

  • 10% loss forgiveness per pay period (based on margin)
  • Losses beyond that are shared at your commission rate
  • Tools

  • Proprietary TMS
  • DAT load board
  • TruckerTools
  • Active carrier network
  • Company leads and freight to start
  • Requirements

  • Freight brokerage experience required — this is not an entry\-level role
  • Must be able to step in and operate without training
  • Experience with perishable freight strongly preferred
  • LTL and multi\-stop experience required
  • Able to price freight and manage profitability
  • Strong communication and follow\-through
  • Work Environment

  • Hybrid: 2–3 days/week in\-office
  • Small team, direct communication, no layers
  • Work alongside one of our customers and see how freight is built from the inside — pre\-planning, load building, and vendor communication
  • Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate freight movement and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate transportation management activities, including dispatching, route planning, and scheduling shipments efficiently.
  • Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI, and AS400 platforms to track shipments, manage data entry, and optimize logistics operations.
  • Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with carriers and clients to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
  • Generate leads through proactive sales efforts, inside sales activities, and B2B networking to expand client base.
  • Manage account portfolios by providing exceptional customer relationship management (CRM), resolving issues promptly, and ensuring repeat business.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations including FDA regulations for applicable shipments and adherence to safety standards like NVOCC (Non\-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) requirements.
  • Qualifications

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics sales with a strong understanding of freight brokerage operations.
  • Familiarity with transportation planning, carrier sales, freight pricing, and logistics sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI systems, and AS400 platforms for data entry and dispatching.
  • Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to develop long\-term client relationships through effective account management.
  • Knowledge of 3PL (Third\-Party Logistics), NVOCC operations, FDA regulations related to shipping compliance, and contracts management.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry, dispatching, and logistics coordination.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast\-paced environment by managing multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining professionalism. Join us as a Freight Broker where your energy fuels our growth! Bring your passion for logistics, your knack for negotiation, and your commitment to excellence—together we’ll deliver outstanding transportation solutions that keep the world moving forward!
