Role
We’re hiring an experienced broker who can step in and produce immediately.
You’ll start with 2\-3 company\-provided accounts to build a base, but this role is built for someone who can develop their own business and manage it end\-to\-end.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Run and grow assigned accounts
- Build your own customer base
- Handle perishable, LTL, and multi\-stop freight
- Source carriers using internal network and DAT load board
- Track and manage loads through delivery (TruckerTools)
- Price freight, protect margin, and make decisions in real time
- Solve problems as they happen
- 15% on company accounts
- 35% on accounts you bring in
- Paid bi\-weekly on collected revenue
- 10% loss forgiveness per pay period (based on margin)
- Losses beyond that are shared at your commission rate

- Company leads and freight to start
- Freight brokerage experience required — this is not an entry\-level role
- Must be able to step in and operate without training
- Experience with perishable freight strongly preferred
- LTL and multi\-stop experience required
- Able to price freight and manage profitability
- Strong communication and follow\-through
- Hybrid: 2–3 days/week in\-office
- Small team, direct communication, no layers
- Work alongside one of our customers and see how freight is built from the inside — pre\-planning, load building, and vendor communication
- Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate freight movement and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate transportation management activities, including dispatching, route planning, and scheduling shipments efficiently.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI, and AS400 platforms to track shipments, manage data entry, and optimize logistics operations.
- Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with carriers and clients to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Generate leads through proactive sales efforts, inside sales activities, and B2B networking to expand client base.
- Manage account portfolios by providing exceptional customer relationship management (CRM), resolving issues promptly, and ensuring repeat business.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations including FDA regulations for applicable shipments and adherence to safety standards like NVOCC (Non\-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) requirements.
- Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics sales with a strong understanding of freight brokerage operations.
- Familiarity with transportation planning, carrier sales, freight pricing, and logistics sales strategies.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI systems, and AS400 platforms for data entry and dispatching.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to develop long\-term client relationships through effective account management.
- Knowledge of 3PL (Third\-Party Logistics), NVOCC operations, FDA regulations related to shipping compliance, and contracts management.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry, dispatching, and logistics coordination.
