Permit Coordinator / Construction Project Admin (Part\-Time)

We are a design studio seeking a Permit Coordinator / Project Admin to support ongoing projects, with a strong focus on managing permits and coordinating with city departments.

This role includes a mix of permit coordination, sourcing, and general office support. We’re looking for someone organized, proactive, and detail\-oriented who is comfortable handling both permit\-related tasks and day\-to\-day administrative work.

Responsibilities:

\- Prepare, submit, and track permit applications

\- Coordinate with city departments (LADBS or similar), follow up on status, and manage corrections/resubmittals

\- Maintain organized records of permits, approvals, and project documentation

\- Coordinate with project team, consultants, vendors, and contractors to gather required information

\- Assist with sourcing materials, vendors, and pricing as needed

\- Support office tasks including filing, data entry, document organization, and maintaining digital records

\- Help with scheduling meetings, tracking timelines, and general project coordination

\- Communicate clearly with team members, vendors, and city contacts

Requirements:

\- Direct experience with construction permits and city coordination

\- Experience in a construction, architecture, or design\-related company

\- Strong organization, follow\-up, and communication skills

\- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

\- Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace (Excel, email, document management)

Details:

\- Part\-time position (20–30 hours per week)

\- Flexible schedule with consistent ongoing projects

\- Hourly rate: $30–$35 depending on experience

We are looking for someone reliable and proactive who takes ownership of their work and helps keep projects organized and moving forward.

We will begin with a 2–3 week trial period, followed by ongoing part\-time work if it’s a good fit.
