Job Summary
The HR Administrator supports daily human resources, training, safety, and office functions at the assigned nursery location under the direction of the site General Manager and in coordination with the HR leadership team. This role is responsible for administering key HR processes including recruiting, onboarding, employee records management, training coordination, and general HR support for site employees and managers.
The HR Administrator also provides operational and administrative support to the General Manager and site leadership to ensure that employment practices, safety procedures, and HR processes are implemented consistently and in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
This position reports to the site General Manager. Essential Functions
- Administer the recruiting process for the site, including coordinating job posting requests and scheduling interviews with site leadership.
- Ensure Job Posting Request forms are completed and submitted according to company procedures.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews for new candidates with the site management team.
- Onboard new employees by conducting new hire orientation and ensuring all required documentation is completed.
- Verify employment eligibility documentation including completion of the Form I\-9\.
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and safety training are reviewed with new hires and completed in a standardized and timely manner.
- Complete IT User Request (UCR) forms to ensure new hires receive necessary system access.
- Ensure timecards are accurate, submitted on time, and properly approved.
- Work with site management to ensure job titles, schedules, and employee records are maintained accurately in ADP Workforce Now.
- Review timecards and address missed, late, or short meal periods with employees while reinforcing adherence to schedules and legal requirements.
- Assist employees with general employment\-related questions and HR inquiries.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment through ADP.
- Assist with workers’ compensation and injury reporting processes.
- Process employee termination documentation.
- Distribute and track company logo wear and personal protective equipment (PPE) issued to employees and maintain adequate supply levels.
- Work with the General Manager or site managers to assist with employee write\-ups, disciplinary documentation, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution, utilizing the Regional HR Manager for support when needed.
- Coordinate employee training through Cornerstone (online and in\-person), ensuring training acknowledgements are completed and properly filed in SharePoint and uploaded to Cornerstone.
- Upload required employee documentation to personnel records in ADP.
- Support the enforcement of company safety rules, policies, and procedures and coordinate ongoing safety training with Yard Managers.
- Monitor site safety supplies to ensure adequate stock is maintained.
- Assist with daily bank deposits and minor accounting tasks when necessary.
- Provide ongoing administrative and operational support to the General Manager and site leadership team.
- Maintain proactive communication with both the General Manager and HR leadership to ensure site needs are addressed efficiently and in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Assist other departments with administrative or operational support as needed.
- Support site operations including sales office and general administrative functions when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills including conflict resolution and professional communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to learn HRIS and talent management systems quickly.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Minimum of two years of office or administrative experience.
- Bilingual Spanish (spoken and written).
- Associate degree (AA) or higher.
- SHRM\-CP certification or similar HR credential.
- Experience working with HRIS systems such as ADP Workforce Now.
- Experience supporting HR, payroll, or employee relations functions.
- Remaining in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods.
- Frequent typing and use of computer systems including data entry and 10\-key tasks.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, filing, and operating office equipment.
- Gross grasping and manual handling of documents, files, and office supplies.
- Walking throughout the facility to access various departments, files, and operational areas.
- Occasional movement through outdoor and operational areas of the nursery which may include uneven surfaces, varying terrain, and exposure to outdoor conditions while following site safety protocols.

This is a full\-time onsite position located at the nursery office. Remote work is not available except for limited short\-term situations approved by upper management.
The role requires frequent interaction with employees and managers across multiple departments within the nursery site.
