- Supports summer concert setup and limited tear down, including carrying, moving and setting up equipment such as tents, tables, chairs, fencing.
- Works directly with the public and assists community members in a respectful and inclusive manner during concerts.
- Requires ability to attend off\-site concerts; the incumbent is responsible for their own transportation to and from events.
- Provides high quality customer service; may work directly with the public
- Maintains a welcoming and safe environment that supports patrons and community members
- Participates in event planning and preparation, including administrative tasks (e.g. printing flyers) and physical tasks (e.g. moving tables, chairs, equipment)
- Assists staff with programs, services, outreach, displays, promotional materials, and other tasks as needed
- Supports events, programs and services on\-site
- Performs general administrative tasks under direct supervision to support data entry and general marketing duties
- Attends regularly scheduled required meetings and actively participates and contributes to discussions and group activities. Participates in the planning and implementation of community events.
- Takes proper safety precautions, anticipates unsafe circumstances, and acts accordingly to prevent accidents. Uses all required safety equipment.

- High School diploma / GED, or working towards completion of diploma/GED
- 1 year experience (formal or informal) experience in event staffing, guest services, and/or working with the public \- preferred.

- Work is scheduled in advance; generally M\-F during regular business hours with some evening hours required
- Physical demands are described as medium (exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects).
- Required to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Required to sit, kneel or crawl
- Work in year\-round outdoor weather conditions that may include extreme heat
- The noise level in the environment is moderately noisy
- During live concerts and events, this position is exposed to loud, amplified sound up to 77 dB
The Arts \& History Division is hiring Summer Concert Assistants to support the Broomfield Summer Concert Series by helping with pre\-show set up, sound equipment, stage setup, event marketing materials, and some teardown at the end of the show.
This position is also responsible for providing guest service support during the shows.
The Summer Concert Series takes place every Wednesday from June 10 \- July 29, 2026 except Wednesday July 1, 2026\. There is a Wednesday AM and a Wednesday PM shift, each lasting 6\-8 hours. This position will also be required to attend a training shift prior to working the first concert.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: \- Must be between the ages of 14 and 19 years old and live and/or go to school in Broomfield or have a strong connection to Broomfield as determined by the department. New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre\-offer and post\-offer/hire processes: in\-person or virtual interviews, reference checks, and background checks, which may include local police check and sex\-offender registry.
