The Role: Compassionate Personal Care Aide
We are seeking reliable, compassionate, and professional Home Health Aides (HHAs)/Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to join our growing team. You will provide essential non\-medical support that allows our clients to live safely and independently in their own homes.
We are looking for Caregivers with the 10 Important Qualities: Passion, Compassion, Patience, Flexibility, Selflessness, Attentiveness, Reliability, Trustworthiness, Professionalism, and Excellent Communication.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Personal Care: Assisting clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
* Homemaking \& Nutrition: Performing light housekeeping, laundry, shopping for nutritious food, light cooking, and preparing meals according to dietary restrictions.
* Mobility Assistance: Assisting with safe transfers, ambulation, exercising, and proper use of mobility aids.
* Companionship: Providing continuous emotional support and security to the client.
* Documentation: Accurately documenting services provided and client status via our Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS: OAC 173\-39\-02\.11 Compliance
To be considered for this ODA\-certified position, you must meet at least one of the five specific qualification standards set forth by the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC).
You are qualified to be hired if you meet ONE of the following pathways:
* State\-Tested Nurse Aide (STNA): You are currently or were previously listed as an Active or Expired STNA on the Ohio Department of Health's Nurse Aide Registry.
* Medicare Certified HHA: You have successfully completed the Medicare competency evaluation program for Home Health Aides (HHA).
* Prior Experience: You have at least one year of supervised employment experience as a Home Health Aide or Nurse Aide. (Note: This pathway requires passing MW Homecare's written and skills competency test.)
* 30\-Hour Training Certificate: You successfully completed at least thirty hours of OAC\-compliant training from an approved provider. (Note: This pathway requires passing MW Homecare's written and skills competency test.)
Basic Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to pass a BCI/FBI background check and all required database reviews.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs).
- Flexible schedule
- Have you been convicted of any crimes in the past 10 years, including misdemeanors and summary offenses, which haven't been annulled, expunged, or sealed by a court?
- Nursing home/home care: 1 year (Required)
- STNA, CNA, or HHA certificate (Preferred)
