Job Title: Premium Billing Specialist

Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Premium Billing Specialist for Consolidated Admin Services is to represent Consolidated Admin Services in communications and interactions with clients and participants, in\-person, over the phone, and in writing. The Premium Billing Specialist supports Consolidated Admin Services with various account customer service activities, administrative functions, and special projects. The Premium Billing Specialist is an integral part of Consolidated Admin Services providing superior service to our clients and participants.
Duties/Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential function of the job satisfactorily. This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Represents CAS in a friendly and professional manner in\-person, over the phone, and in writing
- Handles escalated COBRA participant, employer, and agent concerns
- Reads all documentation clearly and precisely for processing
- Makes appropriate notations within COBRAPoint and Salesforce
- Escalates any clerical errors to the Team Lead for review and correction
- Sends COBRA elections and terminations to appropriate contacts
- Coordinates with agents and carriers to expedite reinstatements as needed
- Updates the CRM with new COBRA notification contacts and process notes
- Answers participant calls
- Sets up and sends employee portal credentials
- Preforms monthly COBRA Open Enrollment audits for assigned clients
- Moves members from plan to plan to correct accounts after the Open Enrollment periods end
- Make plans inactive in COBRA Point
- Processes SPMs
- Processes participants for LOA billing
- Recognizes remittance structures
- Learns client specific details and how to follow custom processes for SPMs and LOA billing
- Enter COBRA Rates and Plans as needed
- Understands which actions in COBRA Point will re\-queue SRLs
- High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- One year of Customer Service experience
- Proficient experience with spreadsheets and/or bookkeeping software, data entry, word processing, e\-mail management, and file management
- Excellent communication skills
