Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in speech therapy, particularly in working with adults with traumatic brain injury in a telehealth format. This role involves treating cognitive communication disorders to help individuals improve their cognition and communication skills. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will collaborate with SLPs to ensure the therapy provided supports their experience with cognitive\-communicative skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech therapy services to adults with cognitve communication disorders.
- Collaborate with SLPs to support treatment plan.
- Monitor and document progress towards goals.
- Educate clients and families on strategies to support cognitive\-communication in their daily activities.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist\-Assistant.
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of strategies to support Executive Functioning.
- Experience working with adults, particularly within a virtual/telehealth environment.
- Understanding of medical terminology relevant to speech therapy practices in English and Spanish.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with therapists, case workers and clients.
