- Greets and provides assistance to persons entering office by answering inquiries, listening to complaints, or referring to appropriate department.
- Receives incoming phone calls, and takes messages, responds to inquiries, or forwards to appropriate personnel.
- Accepts applications, records, collects fees, and files a variety of permits, licenses, and registrations.
- Composes and types documents and correspondence from notes, drafts, and oral instructions.
- Completes a variety of reports, letters, charts, and documents by operating a computer and entering data into various programs.
- Receives and counts cash and balances receipts.
- Makes phone calls to inform individuals of meetings, acquire additional information, or relay messages.
- Assist in opening and distributing mail.
- Copies, collates, files and distributes reports to staff and general public.

- Graduation from high school or an equivalent.
- Three (3\) years of clerical or general office experience.
- Knowledge of standard office procedures and equipment and ability to operate a computer.
- Ability to type accurately; ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions as well as departmental policies and routines.
- Ability to deal tactfully with the public; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co\-workers.
- Works in office environment.
- May be required to pick up mail at city offices.
- Must be sighted.
- Must be insurable.
- Must be able to hear a normal conversation.
- Must be able to speak clearly at normal rate of conversation.
- Must keep regular and reliable attendance at work.

Starting pay: $23\.37 \- $27\.06 per hour, depending on relevant work experience.Work schedule: Monday \- Friday, 12:30 \- 5:00 pm
