Position Summary: A Lease Operator position where the primary purpose is to maintain optimum production from assigned wells, meeting company standards for appearance and upkeep of assets. The Lease Operator performs minor repairs and maintenance, completes required documentation accurately and timely, while adhering to company policies and procedures, including environment, safety and regulatory. Additionally, the Lease Operator II will be expected to troubleshoot issues and participate in special projects with supervision. May be required to work overtime, nights, weekends and some holidays based on a predetermined work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring separators, dehydration equipment, compressors, meters, pumping equipment, well sites, and control devices to ensure optimum production. Troubleshoots complex issues on the well site with some supervision.
  • Performs daily operational checks of assigned wells and production facilities in order to assure all equipment is operating and functioning properly. Participates in special projects such as nitrogen lifts, tubing installations, well\-head modification, etc.
  • Maintains reports detailing items such as production volumes, fluid production, chemicals used, monitoring well pressures, etc. The volume and types of reports may vary by location and well site assignment.
  • Makes minor necessary repairs on equipment to ensure minimal downtime while also considering company environment, safety and health objectives. Performs general site maintenance including site clean\-up and minor facility repairs
  • Adheres to all EHS guidelines and requirements. Will be expected to perform site safety shutdowns as well as report any spills, complete daily Job Safety Analysis, Lock Out Tag Out and Confined Space reports as required.
  • Continually improve the operations through collaboration with other key departments/personnel
  • Provide guidance and instruction to contract crews on well site.
  • May train and mentor new employees and junior Lease Operators to ensure processes and procedures are consistently carried out according to Range Resources standards.

Requirements:

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Minimum Experience: 1\+ year experience

Professional Certifications/Training Required: Current drivers' license with no restrictions; must be able to drive

Oil \& Gas Exp Required: Yes

Skills: Basic computer knowledge, good visual and auditory levels, self\-starter with ability to work independently, troubleshooting and problem solving, strong mechanical aptitude

Equipment/Machinery: Hand Tools; Computer Software: Signet, Field Direct, Production Explorer; General Computer software: Outlook; Required PPE

Working Conditions:

Field\-based; subjected to seasonal field conditions ranging from normal to extreme temperature and weather conditions; must be able to work in remote, isolated areas

Climate Controlled Office Environment (1 hour per day\-IFO only)

Physical Requirements: Bending up to 3 hours per day, Carrying up to 40 lbs, 2 hours per day, Climbing up to 1 hour per day, Crawling up to 1 hour per day, Data Entry up 4 hours per day, Driving up to 4 hours per day, included in drive time to well site, Holding up to 40 lbs, 3 hours per day, Kneeling up to 2 hours per day, Lifting up to 75 lbs, 2 hours per day, Manual Dexterity up to 6 hours per day, Pushing and/or Pulling up to 75 lbs, less than 1 hour per day, Sitting up to 4 hours per day; included in drive time to well sites, Squatting up to 2 hours per day, Standing up to 8 hours per day, Stooping up to 2 hours per day, Twisting up to 1 hour per day, Typing up to 2 hours per day, Vision up to 8 hours per day, Walking up to 8 hours per day, Writing by hand up to 3 hours per day
