- Provide administrative support to the County Treasurer and treasury staff.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist the public with general inquiries payments, and treasury services.
- Prepare, process, and maintain financial and administrative records, files, and correspondence, update and maintain the calendar for the Treasurer.
- Assist with data entry related to tax payments, receipts, disbursements, and reports.
- Schedule appointments, travel and training, meetings, and maintain department calendars.
- Prepare routine reports, spreadsheets, and documents using standard office software.
- Sort, distribute, and process incoming and outgoing mail, including confidential financial documents.
- Assist with record retention and compliance documentation as required.
- Coordinate with other countries’ departments, municipalities, and external agencies as needed.
- Maintain office supplies and support general office operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
- One (1\) to three (3\) years of administrative or clerical experience.
- Knowledge of standard office practices and administrative procedures.
- Basic understanding of financial records, accounting terminology, or government treasury functions (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PeopleSoft.
- Strong organizational and time\-management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with the public.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- One (1\) to three (3\) years of administrative or clerical experience, preferably in a government or financial setting.
- Experience working in a county treasury, finance, accounting, or public sector office.
- Familiarity purchase order billing, payment processing, or public financial records.

Position Overview:
The Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative, clerical, and customer service support to the County Treasury Department. This position assists with daily office operations, financial record coordination, public inquiries, and compliance with county policies and state regulations. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, discretion when handling sensitive financial information, and the ability to interact professionally with the public and county staff.
