Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail\-oriented Leasing Agent to join our dynamic property management team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective tenants, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in property leasing, customer service, and legal regulations will ensure a seamless experience for applicants while maintaining compliance with Fair Housing laws . This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to as an Assistant Manager as well.
Duties
- Greet prospective tenants warmly and provide comprehensive tours of available properties to showcase features and amenities.
- Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through lease signing, including application screening and approval procedures.
- Maintain detailed records using property management software such as Bluemoon or OneSite, ensuring accurate data entry and filing of lease agreements, contracts, and related documents.
- Give the 3 day Notice to Vacate and follow up on the collections by calling the residents
- Document the notices and walk the vacant for the units for the inspections and make ready.
- Verify applicant eligibility by reviewing income documentation, credit reports, and background checks regulations and Fair Housing laws.
- Facilitate lease negotiations, upselling additional services or amenities to enhance tenant satisfaction while adhering to legal standards.
- Handle conflict management professionally by addressing tenant concerns promptly and effectively, ensuring positive relationships are maintained.
- Stay current on legal administrative procedures related to landlord\-tenant law, and property maintenance requirements.
- Collaborate with property management teams to coordinate maintenance requests and ensure properties meet quality standards.
- Conduct regular follow\-ups with applicants and tenants to foster strong customer relationships and encourage lease renewals.
- Assist in office administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and managing tenant files to support smooth operations.
- Market the property on various platforms and social media.
- Must be available to work all Saturdays \-10am \-3 pm
- Proven experience in property leasing and assistant manager roles with a strong understanding of eviction laws and Fair Housing regulations.
- Familiarity with property management software including Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms such as Bluemoon, RealPage, Onesite.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with effective conflict management and negotiation abilities.
- Office experience involving data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and customer relationship management tools.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for handling contracts, leases, and legal documentation accurately.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
