Role Summary
Gurucul is seeking an entry\-level Field Marketing / Event Specialist to support planning, execution, and follow\-up for events and field marketing programs that drive awareness and pipeline. This role is ideal for a recent Bachelor’s or Master’s graduate who is highly organized, detail\-oriented, and eager to learn modern B2B cybersecurity marketing. You’ll work closely with Demand Gen, Product Marketing, Sales, and Marketing Ops to ensure every event is executed flawlessly and tied to measurable outcomes. This role is based on\-site in El Segundo, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning \& Execution
- Support end\-to\-end execution of in\-person and virtual events (trade shows, field events, roundtables, webinars): timelines, vendors, shipping/logistics, booth assets, staffing plans, and onsite coordination.
- Manage event checklists, run\-of\-show documents, and day\-of execution details to ensure a high\-quality attendee experience.
- Coordinate ordering, inventory, storage, and shipment of booth materials, swag, signage, and collateral.
- Assist in building event and field campaign plans aligned to regional/account priorities (in partnership with Sales).
- Coordinate event promotions: email invites, landing pages, social promotion, and calendar follow\-ups (working with Demand Gen/Marketing Ops).
- Ensure all event programs have clear goals, target audiences, and success metrics (registrations, meetings set, MQLs/SQLs, pipeline influence).
- Own lead capture readiness: scanners/lists, data hygiene checks, consent/compliance workflows, and lead routing expectations.
- Coordinate post\-event follow\-up: attendee lists, segmentation, thank\-you emails, nurture paths, and SDR/AE handoffs.
- Track event performance and maintain reporting: spend vs. budget, leads, meetings, CPL, and pipeline attribution.
- Partner with Product Marketing for messaging, talk tracks, and event\-ready collateral.
- Coordinate with Sales/SDRs on meeting schedules, outreach, and event conversion plans.
- Work with agencies/partners for venue coordination, sponsorship deliverables, and co\-marketing logistics.
- Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- Internship, campus leadership, or project experience in events, marketing operations, communications, or customer\-facing roles.
- Strong project management skills: organized, deadline\-driven, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail (names, titles, logistics, links, forms, lists).
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and basic reporting (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Exposure to B2B SaaS, enterprise technology, or cybersecurity marketing.
- Familiarity with common tools: Salesforce campaign basics, marketing automation (Pardot/Marketo/HubSpot), event platforms (e.g., Splash/Cvent), and GA4\.
- Experience supporting trade shows (booth logistics, shipping, vendor coordination) or webinars (Zoom/Webex logistics).

- Data\-aware: ties activity to outcomes (leads, meetings, pipeline)
- Base salary range: $70,000 – $80,000
