Job Summary
The Assistant Brand Manager (ABM) supports the product, brand, and business management activities across the portfolio. This role focuses on execution, coordination, and analysis—helping drive product performance through cross functional partnership, foundational product management work, and data informed decision support. The ABM assists in business planning, product lifecycle management, digital readiness, and commercialization activities under the guidance of the Product Manager.
Primary Duties \& Responsibilities Product \& Innovation Support (60%)
- Contribute to and support comprehensive short and long\-term strategic plans.
- Support execution of plans that deliver net sales and profit growth for assigned product lines.
- Assist in the development overall vision for product pipeline, development strategies and product portfolio mix.
- Learn and apply management and development from inception to discontinuance for assigned products.
- Work with Category Management and Sales to proactively monitor competitive product and pricing activity, and recommend strategic and tactical actions to achieve objectives
- support the development and execution of annual marketing plans, preferably including advertising, media and consumer promotion planning.
- Exposure to consumer research methodologies is a plus of consumer research methodologies.
- Collaborate directly with Brand Marketing, Sales and Category teams in the development and execution of high\-quality, insights\-driven, retailer or channel specific solutions that link to brand strategies.
- Partner with Consumer Insights to build research and learning plan for actionable insights, innovation strategy, new product commercialization, and go\-to\-market strategies
- Support and drive cross\-functional project teams to execute new product launches, product renovations or specification changes, packaging design, artwork approvals, SKU and materials management and financial feasibility exercises
- Help represent the assigned brand portfolio for all key constituencies, including sales, R\&D, regulatory, operations and finance
- Support alignment activities in partnership with the Product Manager and key commercial stakeholders.
- Assists with the marketing spending budget marketing spending budget and report on spending results
- Has assisted in the development of new and existing item pricing strategies and product P\&Ls
- Support collaboration with cross‑functional partners and driving alignment across the organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Management, or related field required.
- 2–3 years of experience in marketing, product management, innovation, brand, or a related business role preferred.
- Exposure to new product development processes, cross functional project work, or consumer insights is a plus.
- MBA preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; comfortable working with data.
- Basic financial acumen and interest in learning P\&L fundamentals.
- Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Nielsen, Numerator, Excel, and project management software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across functions.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Self‑motivated, curious, and eager to learn.
- Strong consumer and market orientation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
