Savant Care, Inc. operates a network of high\-tech outpatient behavioral health clinics. To support better patient outcomes, we build and use tools like artificial intelligence (AI) and mobile applications. Founded in California by Stanford\-trained psychiatrists, we are expanding and looking to add more clinicians to our team.
We are currently seeking Psychiatrists (Full\-Time and Part\-Time) to support our growing patient panel.
Position Overview
The Medical Director is the clinical leader and psychiatric authority at Savant Care. This role blends direct patient care with administrative, supervisory, and operational leadership. You will help shape clinical standards, drive quality improvement, mentor clinical staff, and collaborate across departments to ensure excellent patient outcomes and efficient clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership \& Supervision
- Lead onboarding and training for new clinical staff on policies, procedures, and compliance standards
- Hold weekly meetings and maintain ongoing engagement with the clinical team
- Implement and oversee peer review, clinical quality initiatives, and continuing education
- Provide direct patient care as needed (waitlist support, coverage for urgent needs, and provider absences)
- Review clinical applicant files and support hiring and recruitment efforts
- Draft, update, and maintain clinical policies and procedures
- Partner closely with the Savant Care Administrator on operational priorities
- Participate in scheduled and ad hoc administrative, leadership, and policy meetings
- Collaborate with the Research \& Development team to align clinical practice with innovation
- Provide clinical input to marketing initiatives (as appropriate)
- Participate in meetings with Savant Care’s legal team when needed
- Review and respond to clinical complaints in compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and coordination of therapy and other services
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation (progress notes, assessments, and treatment outcomes)
- Refer patients within Savant Care when appropriate
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to support whole\-person care
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners, as needed
- MD or DO degree with full, unrestricted licensure
- Active California medical license (required)
- Completion of Psychiatry residency
- Active DEA registration
