The Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Assistant serves as the initial point of contact for patients, delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring the seamless operation of administrative tasks. This role necessitates a blend of administrative competencies and a compassionate approach to patient interactions.
\\Key Responsibilities:\\
\- Extend a warm welcome to patients and visitors, assisting them with the check\-in and registration processes.
\- Manage and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring precise scheduling and timely reminders.
\- Maintain and update patient records with a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy.
\- Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries effectively.
\- Respond to phone calls and inquiries, providing relevant information regarding services and appointments.
\- Execute general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry.
\- Process patient payments, manage transactions, and issue receipts.
\- Address patient concerns and resolve issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
\- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure an exemplary patient experience. This includes all front and back office duties depending on need of the day.
\\Qualifications:\\
\- High School diploma or equivalent.
\- Proficiency in computer systems and software applications, including electronic health records and Microsoft Office Suite.
\- Exceptional organizational and multitasking capabilities.
\- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
\- Ability to function efficiently in a fast\-paced environment and manage stressful situations with composure.
\- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.

\- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods.
\- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
