Fredrick Oak Consulting is seeking a dependable and detail\-oriented Administrative Support Assistant to provide administrative services in support of the National Park Service (NPS) Denver Service Center (DSC) at the Denver Federal Center in Denver, CO.
Position Overview:
Working alongside a cross\-functional team of project managers, contracting officers, planners, and budget personnel, this role provides essential administrative support for large\-scale design and construction projects at National Park Service sites nationwide. The position requires accuracy, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple recurring administrative tasks within defined deadlines.
*Please note: This position is contingent upon contract award by Fredrick Oak Consulting. Qualified candidates who are selected will be required to provide a signed letter of commitment prior to contract award. Employment will commence upon award notification, with a target start date on or before May 1, 2026\.*
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the divisional timekeeper, entering, maintaining, and editing employee time and attendance records in the Government's automated payroll system (QuickTime/TimeTablet) with 100% accuracy on a bi\-weekly cycle.
- Coordinate all travel arrangements for divisional staff, including booking transportation and accommodations, preparing detailed itineraries, and obtaining required pre\-travel approvals.
- Prepare and process travel authorizations and vouchers in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR), examining all vouchers for accuracy prior to routing for approval.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive travel tracking spreadsheets for divisional use.
- Receive, review, and reconcile monthly Government travel card statements against supporting receipts and documentation.
- Coordinate and schedule divisional meetings, manage calendars, distribute agendas, arrange conference facilities or virtual meeting platforms, and track follow\-up action items.
- Maintain a professional and responsive presence in all written and verbal communications with Government personnel and external stakeholders.
- Provide ancillary administrative support as assigned, consistent with the contract scope of work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple recurring tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with federal Government personnel and follow established agency procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
- Ability to work independently within a structured, deadline\-driven environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
- Minimum two (2\) years of administrative support experience in an office environment
- Experience with federal travel systems (e.g., E2 Solutions, ConcurGov) or Government time and attendance platforms (e.g., WebTA, QuickTime) preferred but not required
- Prior experience supporting a federal Government agency or working on a federal service contract a plus
- 50% on\-site at 1 Denver Federal Center, Building 50, Denver, CO 80225
- 50% approved telework
- Core hours: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Mountain Time, Monday through Friday, not to exceed 40 hours per week
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident who has resided in the United States for a minimum of three years
- Must successfully complete a DOI background investigation (NACI or higher) and obtain a PIV/DOI Access Card prior to commencing performance
- Must complete all required DOI IT Security Awareness and Rules of Behavior training before system access is granted
- Fredrick Oak's dedicated Facility Security Officer will guide the selected candidate through every step of the credentialing process
