The Maintenance Planner is a critical analytical and operational role that bridges our flight operations and maintenance engineering departments. You will own the maintenance planning function across our Part 135 and Part 145 operations — ensuring aircraft airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and maximum dispatch availability. You will be the primary administrator and power user of our two maintenance management systems, CAMP and Corridor, and will use data to drive smarter decisions about scheduling, resource utilization, and MRO performance.

Key Result Areas Maintenance Planning \& Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain the master maintenance schedule for all 6 aircraft, coordinating inspections, phase checks, and calendar/hourly/cycle\-driven tasks across the Cessna 208 Caravan and 408 SkyCourier fleets
  • Plan and sequence scheduled maintenance events to minimize aircraft downtime and protect on\-time performance (OTP) targets
  • Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance, A\&P technicians, and flight operations to align maintenance windows with route schedules
  • Proactively identify upcoming airworthiness directives (ADs), service bulletins (SBs), and manufacturer\-required inspections and integrate them into the planning horizon
  • Track and manage component life limits, time\-controlled parts, and overhaul cycles across the fleet
  • CAMP \& Corridor Administration

  • Serve as the primary system administrator and power user for CAMP (Computerized Aircraft Maintenance Program) and Corridor maintenance management systems
  • Maintain data integrity across both systems, including aircraft configurations, component records, and inspection status
  • Build and manage custom reports in CAMP and Corridor to support operational decision\-making
  • Train maintenance staff and operations team on system usage and data entry standards
  • Add and delete aircraft in CAMP and Corridor with fleet changes
  • Data Analytics \& Reporting

  • Develop and maintain maintenance KPI dashboards tracking aircraft availability, AOG events, MRO cost per flight hour, unscheduled maintenance rate, and dispatch reliability
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify recurring squawks, reliability trends, and cost drivers; present findings to the Director of Maintenance and Operations leadership
  • Support board\-level reporting on maintenance and engineering performance metrics (four slides per quarter per board cadence)
  • Prepare cost and resource utilization analyses to support MRO budgeting and third\-party maintenance business development
  • Contribute data analysis to Part 145 business development initiatives, including potential expansion of MRO services to third\-party operators
  • Parts, Inventory \& Vendor Coordination

  • Manage aircraft parts inventory planning, including minimum stock levels, reorder triggers, and critical spare strategies for island operations
  • Coordinate with approved vendors and OEM representatives (Cessna/Textron) on parts procurement, AOG support, and warranty claims
  • Oversee rotable and consumable inventory accuracy within CAMP and Corridor
  • Regulatory Compliance

  • Support the Director of Maintenance in ensuring all maintenance activities comply with FAA Part 135 and Part 145 regulations, approved maintenance programs, and Kamaka Air's General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
  • Assist in preparation for FAA inspections and internal safety audits
  • Maintain accurate and complete maintenance records in compliance with FAA documentation requirements
  • Required Qualifications

  • 3\+ years of experience in aviation maintenance planning, production control, or MRO operations
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CAMP Maintenance Management System — including scheduling, work order management, and reporting
  • Experience with Corridor or comparable maintenance management platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to work with maintenance data, build reports, and identify trends
  • Working knowledge of FAA Part 135 operational regulations and Part 145 repair station requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis); experience with data visualization a plus
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe \& Powerplant (A\&P) Certificate — highly preferred
  • Experience with Cessna 208 Caravan and/or Cessna 408 SkyCourier maintenance programs
  • Background in turboprop or single\-engine turbine fleet operations
  • Experience supporting Part 145 third\-party MRO operations or business development
  • Familiarity with SAS (Safety Assurance System) and FAA Safety Management Systems (SMS)
  • Experience in island, remote, or charter operations environments
