- Greet patients warmly at the front desk, verify insurance coverage, and assist with appointment scheduling using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems
- Manage patient check\-in and check\-out processes efficiently while maintaining accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform insurance verification, process claims, and follow up on unpaid balances through medical billing and collection procedures.
- Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD\-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding standards.
- Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information, updating medical histories, and preparing necessary documentation for provider review.
- Support clinical staff by coordinating appointments, managing phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, and handling medical scheduling tasks.
- Maintain familiarity with various EMR/EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems to ensure seamless documentation review and data entry.
- Handle filing of medical records, manage health information securely, and support office management activities to optimize clinic efficiency.

- Proven experience in a medical office setting environment with strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.

- Experience with insurance verification processes and Medicare/Medicaid billing procedures.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Word and Excel
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast\-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette; previous front desk or receptionist experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
