Who We Are

The Sally J. Pimentel Deaf \& Hard of Hearing Center (DHHC) is a mission\-driven, community\-centered nonprofit dedicated to making a difference in the lives of Deaf and hard of hearing individuals and their families. We're looking for someone who is highly organized, self\-motivated, and genuinely enjoys keeping things running smoothly.

The Role

As our Executive Assistant, you'll work directly with the Executive Director — supporting day\-to\-day operations and helping leadership stay focused on the mission. This is a role for someone who takes initiative, manages their workload well, and thrives in a fast\-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing

· Serve as the primary point of contact between the Executive Director and internal teams, partners, and the public.

· Coordinate scheduling for ASL classes, including enrollment and participant communication. – Coordinate client transportation logistics.

· Handle correspondence: drafting letters, routing messages, and managing incoming communications.

· Research and prepare materials, reports, and communications that support executive decision\-making.

· Maintain confidentiality with professionalism and discretion.

· Keep files, records, and systems organized and accessible.

· Monitor and maintain office supply inventory.

· Perform accurate and timely database entry to keep client and organizational records up to date.

· Help maintain office equipment and troubleshoot as needed.

· Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

What We're Looking For

· At least 1 year of experience in an executive support or administrative role, or equivalent experience.

· Solid command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel especially), and a willingness to learn new tools.

· Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records in database systems. – Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Collaborative, dependable, and self\-motivated with good judgment and professional demeanor.

· Knowledge of American Sign Language is a plus — willingness to learn basic ASL is required.

A Few More Details

This is a part\-time position: Monday through Thursday, 10 AM to 3 PM. Some evenings and Saturdays may be required for Deaf culture events throughout the year.

No travel is required. A Level 2 background check and drug screening are part of the hiring process. Applicants may be asked to complete a brief skills assessment.

Pay: From $16\.00 per hour
