Provide receptionist and clerical coverage for YWCA office. Provide administrative and bookkeeping support to the Early Care and Learning Program. Be the first contact for individuals coming to the Main YWCA office.
Requirements:
- Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or GED. Have 2\-3 years of bookkeeping or data entry experience. Prefer 3 or additional accounting specific education.
- Experience or training in computers required. Must be comfortable and proficient with computers, data entry, and social media. Preference is for someone knowledgeable with QuickBooks software.
- Successful completion of criminal background check, drug/alcohol screening, TB test, and be cleared on any official state Registry of Child Abuse and Neglect.
- Have never had an Order of Protection issued against them or engaged in domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking or child neglect/endangerment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and walk up and down stairs
- Provide front desk coverage for the main office of YWCA childcare.
- Answer phones; greet visitors, parents \& children, answer questions about YWCA programs and staff, and refer calls to appropriate persons.
- Maintain accounting records for childcare program. These include:
- Balancing the credit card statements for childcare
- Balancing the bank statements for childcare
- Entering transactions into the financial software and ensuring on\-line and paper bills are paid.
- prepare monthly budget reporting statements for use by Supervisors and the Board.
