Job Description This position is contingent upon award
International Health and Medical Services is looking for an experienced Health Service Administrator to
provide oversight of the day\-to\-day operations of the Health Services Department. In collaboration with the
Clinical Director, the role involves managing and directing the activities of a multi\-disciplinary team of health
care professionals who are responsible for medical, dental and allied health services.
Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and coordinate purchases and contracts for supplies, equipment, specialty care or ancillary

- Knowledge of the interrelationships and interdependencies among various medical and administrative services and programs.
- Successful completion of an agency\-sponsored on\-the\-job training program may be substituted for
- CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certified through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. (If not currently certified, must obtain within the first 30 days of hire.)
- Trained in Basic First Aid.
- If holds a clinical license, employee is responsible to ensure continued status.
- Employees shall have at least two years of general experience that demonstrates the following:
- Graduate Education: Master’s degree \- hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration OR
- Progressively responsible analytical or administrative, or clinical management or supervisory experience in the health care field. This work may have been performed in an operating health care facility or a higher organizational echelon with advisory or directional authority over such facilities. Work must have involved a close working relationship with facility managers and analysis and/or coordination of administrative, clinical, or other service activities, and provided knowledge of the following:

- Required to jog/fast walk up to ¼ mile.
- Requires physical exertion such as lifting objects greater than 30 pounds.

Qualifications Basic Requirements / Certifications:

qualifying experience, provided it included a formal individualized training plan. Such a training program must have been conducted in an operating health care system and included:
+ Assignments providing a knowledge of basic health system administration philosophies, practices,
and procedures, and basic government administrative policies and requirements;
+ Practical assignments providing an opportunity to apply health system administration skills and principles (as the individual progresses, work assignments must be characteristic of the grade level to which he or she is assigned); and
+ Oversight by an experienced health system administrator with periodic evaluation of the individual's
progress and appropriate adjustment of the training program.
+ The ability to greet and deal tactfully with the public.
+ Capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, rules, and regulations. All personnel shall be literate and be able to interpret printed rules and regulations, detailed written orders, training instructions and materials, and must be able to compose reports.
+ Good judgment, courage, alertness, an even temperament, and render satisfactory performance through knowledge of his/her position responsibilities.
+ Ability to maintain poise and self\-control during situations that involve mental stress, such as fires, explosions, civil disturbances, and building evacuations.

Additional Information Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
