Job Summary
We are seeking a detail\-oriented and organized Front Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front office operations, ensuring efficient communication, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires proficiency in various administrative tasks, including handling patient records and assisting with medical billing and coding.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and maintain the appointment calendar.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records.
- Utilize medical software systems including Dentrix and Athenahealth for patient management.
- Assist with medical billing processes, including coding using ICD\-10 standards.
- Handle 10\-key typing tasks accurately for data entry purposes.
- Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards in all communications.
- Maintain a clean and organized front office environment.
- Previous experience in a front office or administrative role is preferred.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software, particularly Dentrix and Athenahealth.
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail for filing and record management.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices is highly desirable.
- Excellent typing skills, including 10\-key typing proficiency.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast\-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
