Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant will serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival; maintains security and telecommunications system. Work to pay employees by calculating pay and deductions; issuing checks. Support accounting operations by filing documents; running software programs. The following list is not a comprehensive list of job duties for the Administrative Assistant. Other additional duties may be assigned.
- Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
- Answer telephones to direct calls or provide information.
- Greet customers, patrons, or visitors, directs visitors to appropriate employees.
- File documents or records.
- Respond to customer problems or complaints.
- Send information, materials or documentation.
- Collect deposits, payments or fees.
- Operate computers or computerized equipment.
- Proofread documents, records, or other files to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare business correspondence.
- Discuss goods or services information with customers or patrons.
- Record personnel information.
- Order materials, supplies, or equipment.
- Opens, sorts, and distributes incoming mail.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
