Birchwood Foods is seeking a detail\-oriented FSQA Clerk to join our Food Safety \& Quality Assurance team on first shift. This role is responsible for maintaining food safety and quality documentation, verifying records, supporting audits, analyzing quality data, and ensuring compliance with USDA, customer, and company requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, proficient in Microsoft Excel, and comfortable working with multiple software systems in a fast\-paced food manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Review FSQA and operational records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance requirements. Maintain organized documentation, including quality records, customer complaints, audit files, and USDA noncompliance records. Enter, validate, and reconcile data within quality management, ERP, and reporting systems. Track approvals, corrective actions, and documentation workflows through completion. Compile, analyze, and report quality and operational data using Excel and other reporting tools. Perform routine Statistical Process Control (SPC) calculations and maintain control charts. Prepare reports, charts, presentations, and quality metrics for management review. Update quality performance boards and sanitation scorecards. Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits by organizing records and responding to documentation requests. Track audit findings, corrective actions, and associated documentation. Coordinate customer complaint sample shipments and maintain product traceability records. Assist with Certificate of Analysis (COA) verification and approval processes. Serve as backup support for receiving\-record review and related data entry. Maintain controlled forms, document revisions, and distribution of approved documents. Process carryover and rework releases according to established procedures. Prepare and verify Canadian export documentation. Manage document retention and record disposal processes in accordance with company policies. Support continuous improvement initiatives involving electronic forms, data collection, reporting, and document control processes. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting/filtering, charts, and pivot tables. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Strong analytical and numerical abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree, technical training, or coursework in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Business Administration, Data Analysis, or a related field. Experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, document control, or compliance reporting. Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS), ERP systems, or business intelligence platforms. Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and control chart interpretation. Familiarity with USDA regulations and food safety documentation. Work Environment \& Physical Requirements This position is 100% on\-site and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work. Regular interaction with production teams on the manufacturing floor is required. Must be able to work in a food manufacturing environment, including cold and refrigerated areas. Exposure to varying temperatures, food production equipment, and manufacturing noise levels. Must follow all food safety, quality, sanitation, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods throughout the workday. Occasionally lift or move materials and records up to 25 pounds.
