The Opportunity Perform radiologic imaging studies in accordance with provider orders, clinic protocols, radiation safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Support the performance, quality, accuracy, and safety of X\-ray imaging within the clinic. Maintain accurate X\-ray records, including appropriate log entries, documentation, image tracking, and related workflow requirements. Follow up on physician and/or radiologist interpretations of imaging studies according to clinic workflow. Plan for and coordinate normal start\-up and shut\-down procedures of the X\-ray department. Maintain effective and efficient inventory of X\-ray administrative and clinical supplies and communicate supply needs to the Clinic Manager. Oversee X\-ray equipment maintenance and readiness processes, including preventive maintenance requirements, routine equipment checks, annual equipment checks, calibration needs, troubleshooting, and escalation of equipment concerns. Update X\-ray control panel techniques as needed and in accordance with approved clinic, equipment, regulatory, or Tahoe Forest Hospital processes. Serve as the primary liaison between Northstar Medical Clinic and Tahoe Forest Hospital regarding X\-ray equipment, maintenance, annual checks, workflow questions, troubleshooting, and related operational issues. Serve as the primary radiology workflow resource for clinic staff and radiologic technologists. Assist with onboarding, orientation, and training of new or returning radiologic technologists on clinic\-specific imaging workflow, equipment processes, documentation expectations, radiation safety practices, and escalation pathways. Help maintain radiology onboarding materials, workflow checklists, equipment reference materials, and related training tools as assigned. Support film badge maintenance and radiation safety tracking processes. Identify radiology workflow issues, equipment concerns, supply needs, staffing concerns, or training gaps and escalate appropriately. Support adherence to OSHA, radiation safety, HIPAA, regulatory body requirements, clinic policies, Tahoe Forest Hospital equipment processes, and applicable procedures Required Experience and Competencies Three (3\) years of experience in a hospital or physician's office setting performing diagnostic radiology required. Prior employment in private physician’s office or group practice setting required. Previous experience as a team lead or supervisor or demonstrated ability to perform the prescribed lead duties required. CRT certification required. Current BLS/CPR certification required. 1\-3 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant, Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) preferred. Ability to operate radiologic imaging equipment safely, accurately, and efficiently in accordance with clinic protocols, provider orders, radiation safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Solid understanding of radiography principles, including radiation physics, image formation, equipment protocols, technical factors, patient positioning, and radiation safety practices. Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to support accurate imaging, effective communication, and appropriate patient care. Ability to position patients accurately and safely to obtain optimal diagnostic images, including patients who may be injured, anxious, uncomfortable, or in pain. Proficiency in using computer systems and compatible imaging software for image processing, storage, documentation, communication, and workflow completion. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, reception/EMT staff, radiologic technologists, Tahoe Forest Hospital contacts, vendors, and other members of the healthcare team. Ability to build rapport with patients, explain procedures clearly, answer questions, reduce anxiety, and provide compassionate care while maintaining patient comfort, privacy, dignity, and safety. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate image capture, patient safety, radiation safety, documentation, and workflow completion. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, adapt to unexpected situations, identify equipment concerns, and escalate maintenance or safety issues appropriately. Ability to oversee X\-ray equipment maintenance and readiness processes, including routine equipment checks, preventive maintenance, annual equipment checks, troubleshooting, and coordination of repair or maintenance needs. Ability to train, orient, and support new or returning radiologic technologists in a professional, approachable, consistent, and clinic\-specific manner. Ability to serve as the primary radiology workflow resource for clinic staff and radiologic technologists while maintaining appropriate role boundaries and escalation practices. Ability to identify radiology workflow concerns, equipment issues, safety risks, supply needs, staffing concerns, or training gaps and communicate them appropriately to the Clinic Manager, Medical Director, Tahoe Forest Hospital contact, vendor, or other appropriate resources. Strong organizational, time management, critical thinking, and problem\-solving skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast\-paced, seasonal urgent care environment with variable patient volume and changing clinic needs. Demonstrates teamwork, professionalism, reliability, punctuality, accountability, flexibility, and timely completion of assigned responsibilities. Ability to work independently, quickly, accurately, and safely while recognizing when to escalate questions, concerns, or equipment issues. Ability to support implementation of approved radiology workflow updates, safety practices, equipment processes, and onboarding materials. Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, staff, equipment concerns, workflow issues, or external partners in a calm, professional, and solutions\-oriented manner. Ability to abide by HIPAA standards and regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient, staff, organizational, operational, and equipment\-related information. Ability to balance direct imaging responsibilities with assigned lead, training, equipment coordination, supply readiness, liaison, and workflow support duties.
