Job Overview: A Platinum Club of America, Jonathan Club is a private social club founded in 1895\. The Club's diverse member base enjoys fine dining, guest rooms, athletics and wellness facilities, spa services, social events and award shows. The selected ideal candidate will play the key part of making Jonathan Club an exceptional place its members could truly call a home away from home with two locations — one in downtown Los Angeles and one on the Santa Monica beach. As FB Assistant Manager this position will split time between office work and on the floor service, with a primary focus on the ladder. This position works alongside the rest of the front of the house members to create member and guest satisfaction in a high end atmosphere, the incumbent must have a great outgoing personality and be able to build a great rapport with our membership and bring vibrant energy to the room in an upscale manner. Essential Duties: Focuses on member experience from A to Z. Possesses solid of knowledge of food and beverage product Oversees reservations process, systems and reports. Assists members by phone, email or in person with any needs such as reservations to the member’s satisfaction. Communicates all reservations details through accurate reports. Has a thorough understanding of the property’s capacities for bookings Oversees/ supports training for new hires. Create BEO’s, floorplans as needed. Ensures each member’s satisfaction and troubleshoots any member issue as needed. Assist and directs staff as needed to ensure members overall satisfaction during service. Follows proper alcohol and beverage control regulations, including identification of minors. Assists with events, holidays or special functions or any meal periods based on business needs. Maintains a clean, orderly and safe work office area as well as in the outlets. Follows all Policies and Procedures and regulatory requirements. Uses diplomacy whenever interacting or handling complaints from guests and members. Actively supports good health and safety practices within area of responsibility as follows: Actively participates in health and safety training, prevention. Identifies and correct hazards and unsafe conditions. Participates in accident investigations. Maintains focus on health and safety issues, unsafe acts and safety suggestions to management's attention or corrects at own initiative. Understands and oversees execution of restaurant ready procedures for service as well as proper closing procedures. Understands and oversees execution of restaurant steps of service. Works closely with restaurant management on projects in various areas included, but not limited to areas such as stewarding, inventory, uniforms control, and linens. Perform any other duties as assigned by direct reports. Qualifications: 2 years’ experience or related experience in high volume upscale operation. Comfortable level of food \& beverage knowledge. Demonstrated ability to be flexible / participate in team work. Experience in the service industry a must.
