Job Summary --------------- The Part\-Time Clerical Assistant 2 –TRIO provides essential administrative support to the department, ensuring smooth daily operations and effective communication within the department and with external stakeholders. Responsibilities include providing clerical support to the TRIO SSSP and the TRIO UB programs in the department; managing correspondence; scheduling meetings; maintaining departmental records; assisting faculty and students; supporting departmental events and academic processes; and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate is organized, detail\-oriented, and proficient in office software, with strong interpersonal skills to contribute to the department’s mission. Minimum Qualifications -------------------------- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1; or Graduation from high school; or an equivalent combination of experience and training. Technical Proficiency: With Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and SharePoint, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new platforms. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service in a diverse and inclusive work environment. Organizational Excellence: Highly organized, dependable, and efficient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision. Attention to Detail and Confidentiality: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality of records and communications. Initiative and Adaptability: Ability to take initiative, solve problems proactively, and adapt to changing needs and priorities in a dynamic academic setting. Cultural competency: as it relates to working with diverse populations. Preferred Qualifications ---------------------------- 2 Years of work experience in clerical/secretarial position(s). Experience working at a college or university with daily interactions with students of diverse populations, specifically first\-generation and low\-income students Experience working with internal and external vendors and organizations to coordinate student and program events Experience using Source Point, SAP, Banner, \& Google Drive * Experience with processing, tracking, and monitoring student data and information involving expenses, budgets, contracts, and grants. The starting salary for this position is $18\.83 an hour, based on the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position may be eligible for a flexible hybrid work arrangement, permitting a combination of on\-site and remote work, subject to applicable organizational policies, operational requirements, and supervisory approval.
