Full Charge Senior Bookkeeper — E\-Commerce Specialist All About Businesses \| Remote \| Contractor About Us All About Businesses is a virtual bookkeeping, accounting, and tax firm serving businesses across Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, and the greater Pacific Northwest. The firm was founded in 2016 by Allison Wolf, a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor who has owned and operated bookkeeping and tax firms since 2011\. Today we are an Advanced Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor firm and a BBB\-accredited business, built on three pillars: Personalized Business Bookkeeping, expertise you can count on, and honest, reliable service. Our team includes an in\-house CPA, so bookkeeping and tax work stay seamlessly under one roof. Our reputation was earned on the hard stuff — multi\-year cleanups and catch\-ups, audit support, and rebuilding books other firms would not touch, then partnering closely with CPAs to carry that work through tax season. Clients consistently describe the same experience: a team that dives into complex books quickly, sweats the details, responds fast, and takes the stress off their shoulders. Every client works with a dedicated bookkeeper who knows them by name — a real person, never a call center or ticketing system. We serve a wide range of industries, including restaurants, e\-commerce, construction and trades, retail, wholesale, service businesses, real estate, and nonprofits. We are growing rapidly, and this is an exciting time to join us. The Engagement We're looking for an independent contractor to own a dedicated e\-commerce client roster end to end and represent that work with professionalism and warmth to clients, our in\-house CPA, and outside agencies. You'll coordinate closely with our Owner and operations team on priorities across a multi\-client, multi\-location e\-commerce portfolio. This is a genuine specialist engagement: we bring the clients and the QuickBooks Online files, you bring deep e\-commerce bookkeeping expertise. The bulk of the work is QuickBooks Online cleanup, catch\-up, and setup — challenging, exciting bookkeeping projects that most firms never see. The work is fast\-paced, the clients are demanding, and the problem\-solving never stops. This engagement is for someone who finds that energizing. This role requires deep, hands\-on e\-commerce bookkeeping experience — Shopify, Amazon, YouTube, Facebook, Authorize.net, and a range of merchant services and payment processors. You'll be the expert on clearing accounts, sales channel reconciliation, and untangling deposits vs. fees, with strong inventory accounting knowledge essential to the work. Compensation: \[insert rate/fee structure — e.g., hourly rate, per\-client retainer, or flat project fee] — paid via invoice on \[insert cadence]. What You'll Own E\-commerce client accounts end\-to\-end: Shopify, Amazon, YouTube, Facebook, Authorize.net, PayPal, and multiple merchant service/payment\-processor flows — clearing accounts, sales channel reconciliation, and deposits vs. fees. Inventory accounting knowledge is essential. QuickBooks Online cleanup, catch\-up, and setup projects end\-to\-end: walk into messy books (or a blank file), diagnose what actually happened, and rebuild them into something reliable — multi\-year cleanups and catch\-ups, new client setup, chart of accounts restructuring, journal entries, clearing account cleanup, resolving unreconciled and duplicate transactions, and turning messy files into books our CPA can file from. Payroll clearing accounts for your assigned clients. Deadlines, workflows, and communication across your own client roster — keeping the Owner, clients, and our CPA aligned and informed. A trusted voice in the escalations, the puzzles, and the judgment calls that come with a demanding, high\-touch client base. Who You Are A master problem\-solver who enjoys untangling messy books and leaves every file cleaner than you found it. Exceptionally detail\-oriented, with sound judgment — you notice problems before they become problems. A proactive communicator who flags issues early, asks sharp clarifying questions instead of guessing, and follows through without being chased. Extraordinary at client service — genuinely enjoy making clients happy while still protecting the integrity of the books. Respectful, but never a pushover. A systems thinker who works within our established workflow rather than building your own. Discreet and trustworthy — you handle client financials, credentials, and payroll data with total confidentiality. Teachable and adaptable — comfortable moving between files, industries, and systems. Completely dependable — you do what you say you'll do and consistently meet agreed deadlines. Experienced running your own book of clients independently, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fully remote arrangement. Required Qualifications QuickBooks Online — Expert level, including heavy cleanup and catch\-up work, journal entries, and clearing accounts. 10\+ years. E\-commerce bookkeeping — Deep, hands\-on experience with Shopify, Amazon, YouTube, Facebook, Authorize.net, PayPal, and other merchant services/payment processors. Strong command of clearing accounts, sales channel reconciliation, and deposits\-vs\-fees analysis. Inventory accounting knowledge is essential. 7\+ years Payroll — Working knowledge of payroll clearing accounts and general payroll mechanics; this is a lighter part of the engagement, not a core specialty requirement. 7\+Years Microsoft Excel — Formulas, pivot tables, budgets, analysis. 6\+ years. Accounting or bookkeeping firm experience — Prior experience working within an accounting or bookkeeping firm in a multi\-client environment; in\-house/single\-company bookkeeping experience alone does not meet this requirement. Industry experience — Hands\-on bookkeeping experience across e\-commerce and our other client industries — service, construction, wholesale, and retail. Fully equipped home office with reliable high\-speed internet.
