The Director of Operations, Oncology must lead the vison of "From Health Care to Health" by forging strong relationships with the University of Colorado academic enterprise to create an overall entity unparalleled in the United States today. The Director of Operations, Oncology provides strategic and operational leadership for oncology services, ensuring high\-quality, patient\-centered cancer care while aligning departmental goals with organizational priorities. This role oversees financial performance, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, quality and patient safety initiatives, and oncology program growth across areas such as radiation oncology, infusion and multidisciplinary care. The Director uses data and analytics to drive decision\-making, optimize resources, and improve outcomes, while leading and developing high\-performing teams, fostering collaboration across departments, and supporting long\-term workforce succession planning. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option Key Responsibilities The Director Operations, Oncology plays a key role in the health system's strategic and operational efforts by: Directing the department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, vision, values, and objectives of the department and organization Developing and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. Directing and evaluating departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Planniing and monitoring staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. Preparing, monitoring and evaluating departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits. Candidate Qualifications Bachelor's degree. 5 years of relevant experience.
