Part-Time Remote Medical Assistant – Weeknights & Weekends Only

PacWest Healthcare is seeking an experienced and dependable Medical Assistant to provide remote clinical support during weeknight and weekend hours. Schedule: Weeknights from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with flexible scheduling Weekend availability required with flexible scheduling Part\-time, remote position Responsibilities: Manage multiple provider inboxes Review and triage incoming clinical calls and messages Queue medication, laboratory, imaging, and referral orders for provider review Complete and follow up on medication and service prior authorizations Schedule telehealth and follow\-up appointments Communicate with patients, caregivers, facilities, pharmacies, and clinical staff Identify and appropriately route urgent clinical concerns Maintain accurate and timely documentation Qualifications: Medical Assistant experience required Proficiency with Athenahealth/AthenaOne REQUIRED Experience completing prior authorizations Strong clinical triage skills and sound judgment Ability to prioritize competing demands across multiple provider inboxes Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized, dependable, and able to work independently Consistent availability during scheduled weeknight and weekend hours This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working autonomously and managing a variety of clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast\-paced healthcare environment.
