US Freight Broker - Experienced (Freight Operations)

We are a fast\-growing 4PL/3PL provider offering Managed Transportation (freight brokerage) services across the US. We're looking for an experienced Account Manager to lead day\-to\-day operations and own customer relationships within our US freight brokerage division. This isn't a support seat. You'll run a book of accounts, grow them, and be accountable for the numbers behind them. Roles \& Responsibilities Account Leadership Own and manage a portfolio of customer accounts as the primary point of contact Grow existing accounts: identify new lanes, added volume, and service expansion opportunities Lead recurring account reviews with customers covering performance, pricing, and upcoming needs Handle escalations end to end and keep customers ahead of problems, not reacting to them Operations Direct daily brokerage operations: carrier booking, load coverage, tracking, and exception management Build and maintain a reliable carrier network on your lanes, negotiating rates that protect margin Own TMS data integrity for your accounts (entries, statuses, documentation) Oversee carrier invoice review, POD collection, and clean handoff to billing, resolving discrepancies before they hit the customer KPI Ownership Own account\-level KPIs: on\-time pickup/delivery, tender acceptance, margin per load, claims ratio, and invoice accuracy Report performance trends internally and flag at\-risk accounts early with a plan, not just a warning Requirements 5\+ years of US\-based logistics / freight brokerage / freight forwarding experience, with direct account management or customer\-facing ownership Proven track record managing carrier relationships and negotiating rates Excellent English communication skills. This role lives on the phone with carriers and customers, and the relationships you build are the product.
