Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. Your expertise will support the organization’s financial health by handling data entry, account reconciliation, and financial reporting with precision and integrity. Responsibilities Perform general ledger accounting, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections. Prepare journal entries and assist with month\-end closing activities to support timely financial reporting. Utilize various financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, ADP, Kronos, Ceridian, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, and Paychex to record and analyze financial data. Conduct data entry with high accuracy while handling confidential information responsibly. Support compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act) requirements through meticulous documentation and internal controls. Assist with payroll management using systems like ADP or UltiPro and ensure accurate payroll processing. Collaborate with internal teams on budgeting, credit analysis, and financial data analysis to improve operational efficiency. Skills Strong knowledge of accounting principles such as GAAP and governmental accounting standards. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, UltiPro, ADP, Kronos, Paychex, and other financial systems. Experience with technical accounting tasks such as journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet analysis. Excellent data entry skills combined with advanced Excel data analysis capabilities using spreadsheets for reporting purposes. Familiarity with audit procedures related to SOX compliance and public accounting standards. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion while maintaining high levels of accuracy in numeracy and math skills. Strong customer service orientation for internal stakeholder support related to accounts payable/receivable inquiries. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments on budgeting or financial concepts.
