Design Assistant / Project Designer Location: Hamburg, NY About Us Caroline Design is a residential interior design studio specializing in thoughtful, timeless homes from concept through construction. We believe great design is created through creativity, technical precision, and exceptional client service. We’re looking for an IN PERSON highly organized, detail\-oriented Design Assistant / Project Designer to become an essential member of our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the creative and technical aspects of interior design and wants to play a key role in bringing projects to life. Position Summary You’ll work directly with the Creative Director to develop construction documents, coordinate projects, communicate with vendors and contractors, and help ensure projects move smoothly from initial concept through installation. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and keeping projects organized while supporting the creative vision. Responsibilities Produce and revise construction drawings Create interior elevations and detailed design drawings Prepare finish schedules, specifications, and project documentation Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors Research products, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings Assist with material selections and sample organization Prepare client presentations Maintain organized project files Track project timelines and follow up on outstanding items Attend client meetings and job site visits as needed Assist with project management and day\-to\-day studio operations Qualifications 2\+ years of residential interior design experience preferred Degree in Interior Design or related field preferred Strong drafting and construction documentation skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Self\-motivated with excellent follow\-through Professional and positive attitude Passion for residential design and attention to detail Preferred Software AutoCAD Adobe Creative Suite Microsoft Office Google Workspace Asana Canva We’re Looking For Someone Who Is… Naturally organized A proactive problem solver Detail\-oriented Dependable Collaborative Adaptable Passionate about beautiful design Excited to grow with a small, creative business Why Join Caroline Design?
