TrackMaster is seeking a full\-time Chartcaller to work in our Centralized Chartcalling Center (CCC) in Lexington, Kentucky. The position coordinates and participates in data collection of all Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse race result information. COMPANY OVERVIEW TrackMaster, an Equibase Company, provides data to horse racing handicappers of every skill level. There are several product lines of varying depth for horse racing products. TrackMaster includes data for Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse and Harness Racing information, thus making TrackMaster the only company with the ability to provide data on the three major breeds of racing. In addition to raw data, TrackMaster also provides many enhanced and value\-added statistics for horse racing, including the TrackMaster proprietary Power Ratings, Equibase Speed Figures, Equibase Class Ratings, TrackMaster Pace Style Figures, Equibase Pace Figures, sire and dam statistics, jockey, driver and trainer statistics, in addition to investment return (ROI) statistics. In 2018, TrackMaster began providing timing and video graphics services to tracks, initially through GPS technology and then through electronic beam technology that it acquired from American Teletimer Corporation. With the information provided from these services, TrackMaster will be able to deliver a more comprehensive data set to handicappers and other customers that follow racing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Shares responsibility for the accuracy, comprehensiveness, and timeliness of all race information. · Shares responsibility to ensure all aspects of result collection are met. · Coordinates activities with Data Collector. · Primarily responsible for charting races. · Assists in proof reading of race result data. · Daily reporting of problems with race result information to Field Supervisor. · Ensure that all deadlines are met. · Communication with all necessary track personnel, including but not limited to the racing office, track stewards, claims clerk, clerk of scales, horsemen’s bookkeeper · Ensure that all queries from Lexington Operations Department are answered correctly and in a timely fashion. · Has a full understanding of payroll calendar and procedures. · Inform Track \& Field Management of potential issues related to racetrack staffing. INTELLECTUAL ACUITY This position requires communication, focus, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure while producing accurate and informative race chart information in a timely manner. Organization and positive communication with racetrack staff are keys to a smooth race day. Collaboration with fellow CCC team members is also essential to success. KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS Excellent knowledge of Windows operating system Knowledge of video recording software is helpful Knowledge of remote access software is helpful Thorough understanding of all racing related terms Thorough knowledge of Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing Additional technical skills requirements vary OTHER Excellent verbal and written communications skills, especially in the area of race comment writing. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and achieve successful results. Familiarity with personnel involved in the racing industry is helpful. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
