Position Status: Full time Shift: First Shift (Days \- Less than 12 hours per shift) (United States of America) Hours per week: 40 Job Information Exemption Status: Non\-Exempt A Brief Overview This position performs dual responsibilities as a Mobile Clinic Driver/Registrar and Float Registrar. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the role provides safe transportation and setup of the mobile clinic and performs time\-of\-service patient registration at designated mobile clinic locations. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the role floats to assigned registration locations to support patient check\-in, registration, financial discussions, payment collection, documentation, and clerical workflows. These activities are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures and in compliance with Joint Commission, Medicare, payer contract, HIPAA, regulatory agency, and organizational Code of Conduct requirements. Education Qualifications High School Diploma / GED Required Associate's Degree Preferred Experience Qualifications 1 year Experience in customer service. Required Prior experience in an office, registration, billing, or payment processing setting. Preferred Prior experience typing, using a computer, or working in an electronic registration system. Preferred Skills and Abilities Knowledge of patient rights, HIPAA, Medicare Secondary Payer guidelines, and applicable registration requirements. Ability to identify problems, review related information, evaluate options, and implement appropriate solutions across mobile clinic and registration workflows. Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, operating procedures, and basic medical terminology. Ability to travel between assigned locations, adapt to changing work areas, and maintain accurate registration workflows in varied settings. Licenses and Certifications Drivers License \- DMV Clean MVR with 3\-year baseline and annual MVR review. Required Basic Life Support \- BLS Required within 60 days of hire. What you will do Provide excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, and guests while creating a welcoming and professional experience at mobile clinic and assigned registration locations. Drive the mobile clinic to scheduled destinations on designated mobile clinic days and ensure proper vehicle stabilization and readiness for safe use by patients and staff. Register patients in a timely manner, including collecting, validating, and updating demographic, insurance, visit, and required documentation information in the registration system. Complete check\-in, admission, and float registration functions based on assigned service area while verifying patient identity and obtaining required signatures. Complete financial discussions, provide patient estimates, collect copays and prior balances as appropriate, and process payments for services. Provide information, paperwork, handouts, and assistance needed for each patient based on the mobile clinic or assigned registration location. Schedule follow\-up appointments as appropriate based on service area. Complete basic real\-time eligibility insurance validation and assist with insurance processing and authorization as needed. Assist with department\-specific duties such as referrals, answering phones, billing support, reports, and other clerical or office duties as assigned. Communicate necessary events, information, or workflow updates to department personnel and assigned locations. Assist with onboarding new staff into the department as requested. Correct account and visit edits in a timely manner and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Travel Requirements 60% Position travels to mobile clinic locations on Tuesdays and Thursdays and floats to assigned registration locations on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays based on operational need.
