Company Overview: Confidential, rapidly growing supply chain and logistics organization that has more than doubled in size over the past several years and is currently operating at approximately $220M in annual revenue The company continues to experience significant organic growth and expansion, creating opportunities for accounting and finance professionals to take on increased responsibility and advance their careers Leadership is committed to building a high\-performing finance and accounting organization capable of supporting continued growth while maintaining strong financial controls and reporting accuracy The accounting team operates in a fast\-paced environment where accountability, communication, and meeting critical deadlines are essential to success Role Summary: Title: Assistant Controller / Controller Reports To: VP of Accounting \& Finance Location: Flower Mound, TX (Hybrid Preferred but has some remote capabilities) Overview: This is a highly visible individual contributor role responsible for supporting the accounting function across multiple entities and ERP systems. The ideal candidate will lead month\-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting support, audit preparation, and daily accounting operations while ensuring all deadlines are consistently met in a fast\-paced growth environment Team Structure: Individual contributor role with no direct reports Reports directly to the VP of Accounting \& Finance Works closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Operations, and Executive Leadership Serves as a key member of the accounting team supporting multiple entities and ERP platforms Key Responsibilities: Own and execute month\-end close processes, ensuring all entries are completed accurately and on schedule Ensure monthly books are closed by established deadlines and all account reconciliations are completed timely Prepare and review account reconciliations, cash reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules Investigate and resolve account variances and reconciliation discrepancies Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities Support annual audits and lender audit requirements while coordinating requested documentation Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP Maintain and support ERP systems while serving as a key liaison with software vendors and internal stakeholders Monitor subledger activity and ensure data integrity across accounting systems Prepare ad hoc financial reporting and operational analysis as requested by leadership Support treasury functions as a secondary approver when needed Collaborate closely with AP and AR teams to ensure smooth accounting operations and timely issue resolution Ideal Candidate Profile: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required CPA preferred but not required 5\+ years of accounting experience in a similar role Strong background in GAAP accounting and account reconciliations Proven ability to manage month\-end close processes and consistently meet deadlines Experience preparing journal entries, financial reports, and audit support schedules Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization Highly organized, detail\-oriented, and proactive Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal oversight Strong problem\-solving and analytical capabilities Experience with Tableau, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems is a plus Logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry experience is helpful but not required Looking for someone who is highly engaged, responsive, and accountable with a strong sense of ownership Compensation \& Benefits: Target Total Compensation: $100K–$120K Hybrid work environment preferred Open to remote Texas\-based candidates for exceptional talent Opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization with significant career advancement potential High visibility within the accounting and finance organization Selling Points: Opportunity to join a company that has doubled in revenue and continues to experience significant growth Highly visible role with direct exposure to senior accounting and finance leadership Strong opportunity for career progression as the organization continues to scale Ideal role for someone who enjoys ownership, accountability, and operating independently Opportunity to work across multiple entities and ERP systems while developing broad accounting expertise Leadership is seeking a dependable, high\-performing professional who can make an immediate impact Excellent fit for candidates who take pride in meeting deadlines, communicating proactively, and delivering high\-quality work Flexible work arrangement with hybrid options and potential remote flexibility for the right candidate \\\\\\** Korn Ferry shall provide equal employment opportunity to all qualified candidates, and will refer candidates without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, veteran status or any other legally protected basis.
