Primary Responsibilities:
Provide assistance in the organization, coordination, and implementation of employee clearance processes, including processing fingerprint checks for district employees, and issuing and administering employee photo identification cards for central office and school\-based staff.
+ Create employee photo identification cards for all district employees and administer security for central office badges.
- Capture employee's photo and create their employee identification badge in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Work with GCPS technology staff to resolve technical issues with badge printers or ID badge software.
- Ensure the fingerprinting office is stocked with photo identification cards and related supplies for school\-based and central\-office\-based badges.
- Administer security for central office badges ensuring that employees are granted appropriate ISC access based on position type and level.
- Run reports regularly to ensure that the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center (ISC) badges are inactivated upon an employee's termination from GCPS or transfer to a different school/location.
+ Perform fingerprinting and administer background check process for all district employees and for approved vendor\-supplied employees.
- Capture employee's fingerprints using the LiveScan machine in an efficient and courteous manner, including substitutes, temporary employees, and contingent workers.
- Work with LiveScan vendor and GCPS technology staff to resolve technical issues.
- Communicate Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) to appropriate human resources personnel for further action/investigation in a timely and confidential manner.
- Assist the Coordinator with the planning and running of the NEO (New Employee On\-Boarding) process.
b Enter, update, and maintain fingerprint information in the PeopleSoft HRIS.
+ Create training tracking badges for Leadership Development.
- Create badges for all leadership staff including administrative interns, assistant principals, principals, and central office leadership.
- Work with Leadership Development on badge administration for training tracking purposes.
+ Assist with reporting the Extension of Employment category for the monthly Board report .
- Submit manual additions to the necessary parties in a timely manner.
- Submit report to supervisor for review prior to the monthly agenda review.
+ Assist with the annual criminal background check process for all existing employees through which 20% of the employee population completes the criminal background check process each year.
- Prepare documentation needed for initiating the criminal background check process.
- Assist with tracking receipt of GCIC forms, and compiling the necessary reports for completing the criminal background check process.
+ Provide world\-class customer service for all employee clearance related issues.
+ Provide support to the front desk by answering phones and covering for meetings and absences.
Provide support to the employee records team during down times.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk.
