Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented Cleared/Background Checked Sub/Assistant to support our vibrant nature preschool team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to early childhood education in a dynamic outdoor learning environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for fostering young children’s growth through nature\-based activities. A background check and security clearance are required to ensure a safe and trustworthy environment for our children and staff.

Duties

  • Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, and managing documentation related to preschool operations
  • Assist with front desk responsibilities such as greeting visitors, answering multi\-line phone systems, and managing inquiries with professional phone etiquette
  • Support office management tasks using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other computer skills to streamline daily activities
  • Manage calendar and schedule appointments for staff and program activities, ensuring efficient time management
  • Facilitate customer support by addressing parent questions, handling enrollment paperwork, and providing information about programs
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, background checks, and other essential documentation
  • Support classroom staff with clerical tasks, proofread communications, and assist with organizing supplies and materials
  • Requirements

  • Must have current background check clearance or be willing to undergo screening process prior to employment
  • Proven office experience with familiarity in clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and proofreading
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast\-paced environment
  • Excellent computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar), and basic bookkeeping tools like QuickBooks is preferred
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to support diverse families and staff members
  • Experience with front desk operations, multi\-line phone systems, and customer service is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in administrative duties
  • Personal assistant or office management experience will be considered an asset
