ACUMEN Group (www.acumengroup.us) is a leading channel and alliance partner for Infor Global Solutions representing their flagship distribution solution: Infor CloudSuite Distribution. Located in Signal Hill, CA \- we have been serving the needs of wholesale distributors since 1984\.

ACUMEN Group is looking to hire a new member of our Engineering/Technical Services team. The main role of this position is to service ACUMEN’s clients in areas related to Windows, Linux, and Database Management as well as break\-fix support for our clients’ ecosystems. Most importantly this role requires a willingness to solve any problem, ask for assistance when needed

Responsibilities:

The following tasks and functions are expected of the Business Consultant.

Client Support Services: At ACUMEN Group we support customers by assisting with Windows, Linux, and database issues.

• Handle phone support issues some of which could be after hours.
• Log issues, converse with the customer in a positive and professional manner, test the issue and necessary resolution
• Work issues through to closure and respond to all client calls within one day to diagnose or resolve their issue

Cloud Management: ACUMEN Group is migrating many services to the cloud. While initially there is not a hard requirement for a skill set deep in AWS, We are looking for someone that is willing and able to learn AWS and help to support and advise the team.

• Help to manage our serverless infrastructure in the AWS cloud
• Advise programming and implementation teams on best practices related to our AWS cloud.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Database management (Progress OpenEdge, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, etc…)
• Understanding of Linux (CentOS or Redhat)
• Knowledge of Windows Server and associated services (DNS, DHCP, AD, etc…)
• Experience with VMWare and virtualization concepts
• Bachelors Degree or greater
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Ability to work well and lead difficult people
• Willingness to follow written procedures and document new procedures
• Understanding of hardware including Bare\-Metal, Dissimilar Hardware and Physical\-to\-Virtual migration and image recovery

Job Type: Full\-time

Pay: $100,000\.00 \- $120,000\.00 per year
