GENERAL DUTIES
- Under supervision, performs miscellaneous clerical, administrative, research or other work related to the operation of a College or other unit where such work is required on a part\-time basis or for a period of limited duration.
- There is one Assignment Level for this position. All personnel perform related work. This specification describes typical assignments; related duties may be assigned as

- Performs routine clerical work; may answer and attend to telephone calls; maintain records,
- Types letters, memoranda, charts, and similar materials.
- Acts as cashier.
- Assists in statistical or research activities. May collect and compile data, code data for computer entry, perform data entry, and run computer reports.
- Performs clerical library work, such as sorting and shelving books, performing data entry into library systems, or binding books and periodicals.
- Assists in instructional programs, including tutoring and assisting students in areas such as reading and mathematics. May assist in speech and hearing therapy, provide musical accompaniment, and/or distribute and collect physical education equipment.
- Enters and maintains departmental records such as inventory control records, rosters, directories, and schedules.
- May operate computers, computer software, and other electronic equipment in performing assigned tasks.
- Serve as opening cashier, responsible for initiating daily cash operations, processing payments, and maintaining accurate transaction records.
- Provide frontline support by answering and directing inquiries, with a focus on student accounts, billing, and TAP\-related questions.
- Perform general clerical duties, including filing, data entry, scanning, and maintaining organized office records.
- Operate standard office equipment such as copiers, scanners, fax machines, and multiline telephone systems.
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail; deliver messages and documents as needed.
- Assist in compiling, coding, and entering data for statistical or research purposes; generate reports as assigned.
- Maintain departmental databases and logs, including student payment records.
- Utilize computer systems and relevant software to efficiently complete assigned tasks
- Must demonstrate sufficient skills to perform the duties of the assigned tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service experience, particularly in an academic or financial setting, is a plus.

Reporting to the Enrollment Bursar Director, the College Assistant supports the daily operations of the Bursar’s Office by performing a variety of clerical, administrative, cashiering, and customer service\-related tasks. Responsibilities include assisting with student account inquiries, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position is parttime and designed for temporary or limited\-duration assignment.
Shift: 9:00 AM\- 2:00 PM
