The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a Development Coordinator to join the School of Public Health office of development and alumni relations. The primary responsibility of this position is to work closely with and support the Development efforts of assigned areas in securing major gifts. This includes performing administrative duties such as CRM input and management, calendaring, scheduling travel, and submitting reimbursements.
This position reports directly to the Director of Development within the School of Public Health. The Development Coordinator works with the Development Officer and other University personnel and must be able to function as an integral part of a team to facilitate successful fundraising programs.
Position is a full\-time, on\-site position.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide core administrative support, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings and donor visits, preparing materials, and supporting day\-to\-day development operations.
- Maintain accurate donor and prospect records, including data entry, gift tracking, reporting, and ensuring data integrity across records and CRM.
- Develop donor materials, coordinate donor outreach including mailings, virtual communications, and follow\-up via phone, email, and visits; support relationship\-building with donors, prospects, and internal stakeholders, and collaborate with the Director of Development and Major Gifts Officers to advance fundraising strategy and identify new donor opportunities.
- Support strategic planning and execution of fundraising and engagement events, including logistics, invitations, materials, and on\-site coordination; occasional travel may be required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Two (2\) years of fundraising or related experience required
- Higher education experience is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including both creative and technical writing
- Strong project management skills, including time management
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Ability to multi\-task
- Event planning and organizational skills with attention to detail
Hourly Pay Range: $19\.80 \- $24\.00
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required. Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement.
