Fauquier Health’s OB/GYN physicians and certified nurse midwives understand the importance of women’s health issues through all stages of life and are dedicated to providing the highest level of courtesy, compassion and care to each patient. As the first point of contact, our front desk team plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional patient experience.
How you’ll contribute
A Sr Medical Receptionist who excels in this role:
- Supports the front office by coordinating and overseeing daily front office operations to ensure effective and efficient workflow.
- Responsible for training all new front office clerical staff. Coordinates staff schedule.
- Prepares EMR for new patients to include all essential patient information. Proactively reviews daily patient appointments to ensure appropriate and efficient scheduling.
- Scans all patient information into appropriate area within practice management system.
- Works collaboratively and proactively with Practice Manager to identify front office issues and recommend process improvement.
- 1 year of work experience in a medical office environment or equivalent healthcare experience is required.
- Associate’s degree is preferred.
- Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in stressful environment and take appropriate action.
