Position Overview

StartVirtual is seeking a driven and personable Account Executive to lead consultative sales conversations with business owners seeking Bookkeeping or Virtual Assistant services.

This is a full\-cycle sales role focused primarily on conducting virtual sales meetings over Zoom or Google Meet, understanding each prospect’s pain points, and positioning solutions that align with their business needs. The Account Executive will guide prospects through the sales process, discuss pricing, create urgency, and close new business.

While appointment support will be provided through scheduled meetings, this role is built for a hunter. The ideal candidate is not solely dependent on inbound opportunities and is expected to generate pipeline through outbound prospecting and cold calling as well.

The right person is disciplined, highly motivated, coachable, and confident leading consultative sales conversations from discovery through close.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual sales calls and online demos with business owners exploring Bookkeeping or Virtual Assistant services
  • Lead consultative sales conversations by identifying prospect pain points and positioning solutions that align with their needs
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial discovery through close
  • Build trust quickly, uncover business needs, and recommend the right service solution
  • Create proposals, discuss pricing, and guide prospects through the quoting process
  • Create urgency and confidently move opportunities through the pipeline
  • Maintain consistent follow\-up throughout the sales process and after the sale as needed
  • Generate self\-sourced pipeline through outbound prospecting and cold calling
  • Work leads and appointments provided by the company while also building your own opportunities
  • Maintain accurate, detailed CRM notes, opportunity stages, and follow\-up tasks
  • Partner closely with leadership and the scheduling team to improve conversion rates and overall sales performance
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience in a similar closing role
  • Full sales cycle sales experience from discovery through close
  • Experience conducting virtual sales calls and online demos
  • Experience with consultative selling, including identifying prospect pain points and positioning solutions based on business needs
  • Experience discussing pricing, creating quotes, and moving prospects toward a buying decision
  • Strong follow\-up discipline and excellent CRM hygiene
  • Excellent listening skills with the ability to ask strong discovery questions
  • Outgoing, personable, and confident speaking with business owners
  • Highly organized, disciplined, and results\-driven
  • Receptive to feedback and able to quickly apply coaching
  • Motivated to prospect and generate opportunities in addition to working company\-provided appointments
  • Experience working in a remote sales environment is required
  • Preferred Experience

  • Formal sales training in a methodology such as Sandler, Challenger, or MEDDPIC is a plus
  • Experience selling bookkeeping, outsourced services, staffing, BPO, or other service\-based solutions
  • BPO industry experience is a strong plus

  • Generates a healthy mix of company\-supported and self\-sourced opportunities
  • Keeps CRM notes, deal stages, and next steps exceptionally well organized
  • Responds well to feedback and quickly adapts to coaching and new initiatives
  • Brings energy, professionalism, and urgency to the sales process

    This role is for a true hunter who knows how to build momentum, create opportunity, and close business. You are comfortable leading conversations with business owners, asking smart questions, handling objections, and driving next steps. You do not wait around for pipeline to appear. You take ownership of your number and actively work to create it.

    Pay: $50,000\.00 \- $120,000\.00 per year
