On The Road Truck Repair \& Hale Yeah Mobile Maintenance are looking for a full\-time Payroll Clerk Assistant to join our growing team. Our Payroll Clerk Assistant will utilize their skills to accurately maintain both payroll accounts and assist with other Administrative responsibilities.

This position is a remote work from home position, after the initial training period. Training location to be determined based on applicant’s location.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Enter and update payroll data (e.g., hours worked, deductions, tax withholdings) into payroll system.
  • Calculate payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employer’s payments for social security, unemployment and worker’s compensation.
  • Assist in processing new hire paperwork, terminations, and changes in employee data like pay rates or tax exemptions.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding pay, deductions, or benefits.
  • Maintain organized, confidential employee records in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Assist in generating reports, such as earnings summaries, tax reports, and year\-end reports.
  • Audit and enter daily receipts into QuickBooks Online maintaining accurate record keeping.
  • Skills:

  • Proven experience in the Payroll field
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel \& Word)
  • General knowledge of QuickBooks Online
  • High level of skill in both keyboard and 10\-key
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness
  • Adherence to laws and best practices regarding dealing with customers and data
  • Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information
  • Proficiency in English
  • Key Qualifications

    * Education: High school diploma or equivalent required

    * Experience: Prior administrative, payroll, or clerical experience is preferred.

    Job Type: Full\-time

    Pay: $20\.00 per hour
