Overview
We are a small, patient\-focused dental practice dedicated to providing high\-quality, personalized dental care in a warm, welcoming environment. We’re looking for a compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, personable, and thrives in a collaborative setting where patient relationships and teamwork are top priorities.100% Fee for Service seeing 6 hygiene patients a day (70\-minute prophy) per hygienist. This is also a great early career opportunity as we have amazing mentorship available from our other wonderful hygienists. Upgrading to Denticon software on June 30th.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance, arestin placement, SDF placement.
- Assess patients’ oral health and document findings, including existing restorations, caries, bone levels, and tissue condition.
- Take and interpret dental radiographs (digital or film).
- Perio charting when radiographs are not taken at patient recall appointments
- Apply preventive materials such as fluoride varnish and sealants.
- Provide local anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide (if licensed and permitted by state law).
- Identify potential oral health problems and communicate findings to the dentist clearly and professionally.
- Maintain meticulous clinical notes and charting in the practice management system.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, home care routines, and preventive care.
- Discuss periodontal conditions and treatment options in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Encourage patient compliance with recommended treatment and recall schedules.
- Promote overall wellness by connecting oral health to systemic health.
- Partner with the dentist and dental assistants to ensure seamless patient care and efficient appointment flow.
- Communicate effectively with front office staff regarding scheduling, patient needs, and treatment planning.
- Support other team members when necessary—flexibility and teamwork are essential in a small practice environment.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive, respectful, and supportive workplace culture.
- Maintain infection control standards and follow OSHA, CDC, and practice protocols at all times.
- Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments and treatment rooms.
- Monitor hygiene supplies and communicate inventory needs to management.
- Assist in maintaining patient recall systems and contribute to practice growth initiatives.
- Appoint patient recalls intra\-op after each hygiene appointment.
- Licensed Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of OH
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and patient empathy.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a small, dynamic office environment.

- $36\-$47 based on experience and clinical skills.
