PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER II – NORTH COAST REDWOODS DISTRICT / EEL RIVER SECTOR / RICHARDSON GROVE STATE PARK

This classification is subject to the Post and Bid process. Applications from a certification list, transfer change in class, reinstatement, re\-employment, and training and development assignment candidates will be accepted for this position but consistent with the MOU/Bargaining Agreement BU12/13 contract cannot be acted upon unless the Post \& Bid process does not result in a hire.

The Park Maintenance Worker II reporting location is 1600 US Highway 101, Garberville, CA 95542 at Richardson Grove State Park (SP). This position will work under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor.

This position will perform skilled restoration work as well as structural/facility maintenance and repair work. The incumbent will primarily be responsible for the maintenance and restoration of facilities within Richardson Grove State Park, but maybe required to work in other areas within the North Coast Redwoods District. This position has shared responsibility with the other Park Maintenance Workers, Skilled Laborers, Park Maintenance Assistants, and Laborers, within the North Coast District’s Roads, Trails, and Resource Maintenance Section. The incumbent may be required to work with one or all at any given time.

The incumbent’s work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.

Working Conditions

Typical work activities involve frequent periods of bending, stooping and lifting. Perform indoor and outdoor work often in inclement weather. May have extensive exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. May work in remote locations. Ability to read, write and understand English.
