Software Engineer II is designed to build and demonstrate core engineering competency through the application of established programming practices to real\-world problems. The position involves delivering reliable, high\-quality code by executing structured programming assignments based on clear specifications, while developing a strong understanding of data processing and system requirements.

Key responsibilities include actively maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing existing software applications and vendor systems, diagnosing and resolving issues across user applications and interfaces, supporting system integration efforts, and ensuring smooth user acceptance through effective problem resolution. The role contributes directly to the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of production systems.

  • Maintain, enhance, and support existing applications, interfaces, and vendor systems.
  • Develop new features and application enhancements independently or collaboratively.
  • Gather and translate user requirements for small, low\-risk projects.
  • Design and execute test plans, including manual and automated testing.
  • Plan, track, and communicate project progress and status.
  • Participate in on\-call support and resolve service\-related issues.
  • Contribute across all phases of the SDLC, including design, development, testing, implementation, and training.
  • Write, test, and debug efficient, high\-quality code.
  • Support technical design discussions and participate in code reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross\-functional teams, including Business Analysts, QA, and Project Managers.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote development best practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve user\-reported issues.
  • Develop and support client\-facing applications and provide end\-user training.
  • Troubleshoot application and interface issues, ensuring successful user acceptance and system functionality.

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • \-6 years of relevant software development experience.
  • Strong problem\-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience creating technical documentation and system specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross\-functional teams and maintain a strong customer\-focused approach.
  • Proficiency with programming languages and modern development frameworks.
  • Experience with version control and release management tools.
  • Knowledge of data integration, security best practices, and system design principles.
  • Basic understanding of data architecture and data governance.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including testing methodologies.
